I can see where you're going with this. I think it's great for a first demo. (I particularly liked the way the clouds and sky were reflected in puddles: it shows the real-time capturing very clearly). Sure, things like the juddery video will be overcome in time. As a long-time software developer I can understand just what is going on behind the scenes, and you should be proud of what you've achieved so far. Those who compare it with rendered video games are missing the point.

I'm sure there are many applications for this outside of racing cars/sports.

 so far.

Yeah, as a proof of concept it's fantastic. I hope the developers can make this a reality. Graphics Quality will not matter really. Ultimately, if it has good control and playability people will jump at the chance to compete against the best of the best. Keep it up.

Its quite fine, the demo.

But the actual release should contain superb car physics and speed cause otherwise the real racers will be lapping the guy on TV in every 4 corners. Besides offering the feeling of actual presense in the race, you guys could take it online too. With real tracks and cars for about 20 gamers to try on a server.

I do see this particular software, if it reaches its potential quick, substituting the simulators at the F1 team's garage. Am sure drivers who use simulators, especially like Hamilton, would love to try this cause this offers the actual track.

I agree that really quite a lot has been achieved already with this software, however I cant help feeling that you are going about it the wrong way.  I feel that what you have been gathering with all the data is perfect for a very highly detailed set of reference material for a computer game. However from looking at the demo all the problems that come with not using a proper renderer come in, for instance the textures shifting and deforming. Modern games require very advanced graphics to be even considered as a potential buy, this is even more true in the driving games area. I think the real interesting point of this is the real time tracking or play back of an existing race vs the real drivers. If this was linked into a normal driving game it would be a very interesting addition.

Still though good job so far.

this is a very cool idea. I downloaded the demo version and i think that this is going by the right way, but try to put another car to race against him. i hope the best results of this new tecnology.

Good luck.

Excellent idea,I know this is a tech demo and handling, shifting graphics need a lot of work, and how will it look when racing an opponent? I mean the look of other cars? Will the cars be CGI rendered? if so they will look odd on a photorealistic track,But very interesting project,Kind of reminds me of the old laser disc games like "Mach 3"!!

Trying this  with conventional video games has been tried before. It didnt work. Check out 'how it started page'

The intention is not to CGI render the cars. The cars have to be captured on the same day of the event. The extra small wing, the new sponsor all have to be accurate for the level of 'Real Time' we are achieving.

 Thanks for input.
