I start the demo with no problems, run one race all is fine, the upload time/restart button appears and I click restart race and the demo exits to desktop every time today, which is odd as it was fine the day before yesterday. A windows error box appears explaining the error and asking to be sent to microsoft the error is...  " RTRDXDemo.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience. " So I click send to forward that to microsoft and I will forward the log file to your support email address.

Cant seem to find a log file.

Ok a few more runs of the demo and this problem stops on its own just ran the demo around 7 times and it restarted fine each time. So it seems a more intermittant thing.

I've got this issue too, thought it was my own fault as I had a lot of programs open, but interested to see I am not alone, most annoying thing is that you can't save your user and password so restarting the program and re entering it is a hassle, seems to happen after 5-9 tries (estimate)  does not happen on first or second tries for me.

Same here, only did it the first time I run the demo.

Think I've found the cause of the crash, or it looks that way after I've tried it 9 times..

Crashing occures if you start RTR, complete a lap, and try to restart -WITHOUT- uploading the lap. If you upload the lap and click restart, there is no crash. If in the same session you complete another lap, you can click restart without reuploading the lap (Also worth noting 'Lap Uploaded' is still displayed, for the whole session, even if you only pressed it the first time).

EDIT: Interesting, the log file is totally empty too..

today was better for me, did not crash much, but there are 2 ways mine can crash, the crash on clicking restart which I can't reproduce like tiger suggests, and another which I forgot about before so I will mention now, race restarts fine but as soon as I press my UP key it then crashes, at first I thought it could be my keyboard repeat rate overloading a buffer (had this problem a long time ago) since nearly the whole race is spent with that key pressed, but I lowered repeat rate and it still occurred, it is rare though, maybe only happened twice today but this one seems like a bug, whereas the other crash could (possibly) be my fault somehow.

Tommorow I will do a few runs with the program using compatability settings (win xp, 2in 2k etc)

Just had a look at the log, I don't know if it gets erased after every program start but there does not seem to be much in it

E:\Program Files\RealTimeRace\Demo\resource(94,11): warning X3571: pow(f, e) will not work for negative f, use abs(f) or conditionally handle negative values if you expect them

and for this one too
