What 3D graphics card should I be using in order to get best performance when running the demo?

I'm assuming the old on-board intel graphics are not going to be pushing the pixels enough!

I can't run the demo, saying no 2.0 vertex shaders or no direct3d devices.

Guess i'm going to have to try at home on my laptop.

I have just DL the demo, installed and ran it with no problems GFX card = nVidia Gforce 8600 gt with 512 meg of DDR2 ram on the card, all directX functions enabled and display setting are 1024 X 768 - 32 bit colour.  DirectX = DX9.0c, on windows XP pro

Looks like I'm in the minority here with an ATI card.

Works fine (if rather low framerate) on ATI X1800, 256MB DDR3. XP SP3, AMD 64 X2 4400+ cpu :)

Same problem, this time it's ATI X1950 with 512 MB RAM.

Haggisok have you been here and checked you have the latest drivers...  http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng

Just for comparisons sake I understand that chipset is the equivelent of...  Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 256Mb graphics card or at least thats where " toms hardware " equates it.

Ray Humphrey you may be experiancing problems because that chipset is not fully compatible with Pixel Shader and Vertex Shader which this system may be useing, you may want to google and look into your chipset compatabilitys and this site to see if those shader systems are used by the demo

Perhaps the problem is due to missing components in the DirectX redistributable?

Hi - it runs a little 'choppy' on the first machine I have tried it on, and using the arrow keys is a pain in the rear for me since I think my software is set to ignore repeated button presses, after a certain number without releasing the keypad, however I have had this before in other games (FPS) when I have to release and re press to continue running or walking forwards, or change the settings to allow continued registering of repeated presses.

My reason for posting is that people have said their graphics are NOT working with what I consider to be higher graphics cards than I am using and machines with higher specs so here goes, choppy graphics but usable on a :

Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.00 Ghz / 3gb RAM / Nvidia 8400M 128MB (laptop) graphics card.. maybe people don't have latest drivers or the reason lies elsewhere?
